THE PAINTING "KYIV" IS A PUZZLE PIECE FROM THE PAINTING "UNIQUE UKRAINE"
Embroidering St. Sophia of Kyiv was a no-brainer because it is a state architectural and historical reserve. St. Sophia of Kyiv Cathedral was built during the heyday of Kyivan Rus, a great East Slavic state.
The name "St. Sophia's" comes from the Greek word "Sophia," which means "wisdom." It is dedicated to the "wisdom of Christian teaching." The cathedral, according to the creators, was supposed to establish Christianity in Russia. At St. Sophia Cathedral, chronicles were kept and the first library known in Kievan Rus was created by Yaroslav the Wise.
Throughout its centuries-long history, St. Sophia Cathedral has survived enemy invasions, robberies, partial destruction, repairs, and reconstruction.During one of the most difficult periods in the history of ancient Kyiv - the capture of the city by the hordes of Batu Khan in 1240 - most of the architectural structures were turned into ruins. St. Sophia Cathedral survived. And it proudly pleases us to this day, where millions of visitors gather.
